What Do We Do?

In addition to the online resources and recommendations provided on this website, the Science Circus Whittier Project works with various community partners to host events where children and their families can engage in open-ended science activities.

We provide all the materials and facilitate the activities. We primarily work with preschool-middle school age students. We also provide limited volunteer opportunities for local high school students interested in our project.

We partner with several afterschool enrichment programs to provide Science Circus activities and kits to K-8 students.

We also work with providers who offer summer programming.

Family STEM Events are designed to bring families together as they engage in hands-on activities that are facilitated by Whittier College students. Events are held throughout the week at local elementary schools and parks.

Our “Little Innovators” series is a collaboration with the Whittier Public Library. Each month, we select an age-appropriate picture book and accompanying activity to facilitate with preschool age children.

We Love Our Community Partners!
