If you open up one of our curated activity kits, you will find step-by-step directions which include a comprehensive materials list. You’ll also find a step-by-step video to help you work through the activity kit.
Science is all around us, where we walk, the tools we use, and in our homes. We created activities that can be completed with common household supplies!
All activity kits directions are found at the bottom of this page. Once a month we provide kits to the Whittier Public Library for their patrons. Finally, when we host our in-person events, we have activity kits available to take home as well.
Please read directions carefully and follow any safety considerations provided.
All resources are designed for ages 5+ and are to be used under adult supervision.

Have you ever wanted to make a track for your marble? How long can your track be? What tricks can you make your marble do? Use this activity kit to find out!
What is a Lantern?
We have long used lanterns to help us see in the dark. With this activity kit you will make your own lanterns using different types of materials.
What is Density?
Explore common liquids you find in your kitchen with this activity kit. We will see if you can “stack” your liquids in a column as well as use them to make your own lava lamp!
